Human beings intuitively feel the need to mark these internal changes (adolescence, menopause, childbirth, perinatal bereavement), external changes (the changing of the seasons, harvests, migrations, floods), professional changes (a new job, career achievements, retirement), and family changes (marriages and divorces).
Rituals allow us to be seen and acknowledged, to close certain spaces, places, and commitments in order to open others—not only on a physical level, but in every dimension of our being. Rituals allow us to remember, to gather, and to feel our connection to the community and to the greater fabric of life.
The Rebozo ritual treatment is designed to offer women a moment of respite, reflection, and well-being, helping them connect with their bodies, express their emotions, and bring closure to one chapter of their lives before embarking on a new one.
A Rebozo ritual is an ancient Mexican ceremony, typically offered to women, designed to honor and celebrate an important milestone in their lives, such as pregnancy, childbirth, or any other significant transition. It involves the use of a large shawl called a Rebozo to massage, wrap, and warm the body, thereby promoting relaxation, reconnection with oneself, and the transition to a new phase of life.
Several steps are suggested, depending on the specific needs:
A warm welcome to help you settle in.
A steam bath helps relax muscles and eliminate toxins.
The ceremonial bath
A time to rest
Rocking (manteada) each part of the body with the rebozo
The closure (cerrada)
This treatment helps relieve stress, fatigue, and physical and emotional tension, and supports recovery after childbirth. It also helps ease the transition to a new phase of life.
The Rebozo ritual treatment is a gift of well-being and reconnection for women, a space of gentleness and transformation to honor her body and her life journey.
Often performed after childbirth, this treatment can be offered to any woman going through a period of transition, or who simply wants to take some time for herself.
I would like to thank Collective Rebozo for passing this knowledge on to me.
I experienced a moment of eternity, a profound cellular transformation, a new perspective, a rebirth. What a gift to have had the chance to be in the hands and hearts of the magical Dominique and Sihem. A major healing experience on my journey, one that, even long afterward, continues to infuse my being and my posture. This ritual allowed me to reconnect with the divine within me and feel part of a lineage of ancestors and infinite women. To find myself again. I felt welcomed, protected, loved, cherished. A thousand thanks
Ceremonial spaces
My experience with the Rebozo ritual, performed by Dominique and Sihem, was gentle and deeply comforting—something so necessary during this time of profound transformation that is the beginning of motherhood. I felt that every aspect of my being was nourished and soothed. For a moment, I was able to set aside all my responsibilities and receive the same quality of care that I offer my baby. From my soul to the tips of my toes, they cradled me, validated me, and reassured me. For a moment, they made me feel like a queen. It is a ritual I wish for all new mothers and women who care for others and the world. Thank you to these two women, whose presence is so fully felt, for welcoming me with such tenderness and embracing my vulnerability. I still feel so cherished by this gift offered with such humanity.
Rebozo
After uterine surgery, I continued to feel drained of energy and disconnected from my body. The Robozo treatment Dominique gave me was incredibly beneficial. Throughout the process, she supported me with her gentle touch, her strong presence, her soothing voice, and her deep chants, which opened a passage within me. Being wrapped in the scarves was a deeply meaningful experience thanks to Dominique’s remarkable ability to create an intimate, profound, and safe atmosphere. These elements allowed me to settle in, regain my bearings, and inhabit my body once again. Since then, my energy flows more freely, I feel more whole, opening the door to deeper healing. I am truly filled with gratitude.

The circle is a way of being together. An archetypal, symbolic, and foundational form of the human species, it connects us, points us toward the center—the heart—while allowing each of us to sit at the same distance.
A talking circle can be offered to meet the needs of a group, a family, or a community—to open, celebrate, close, or remember—as the heart of a ritual or as a step within it.
